Preview of 4th Parcel!

Hi there lovely ladies!

It's almost midweek and we will be launching our 4th collection tomorrow, 22nd June, Wednesday at 10am!

And here's a little sneak preview of what is coming up! Once again, all items are hand-picked and imported from overseas in limited quantities to retain exclusivity :D

We hope that you will find something to bring home with!

And for those ladies who have been emailing us to ask if we are having another manufactured item coming up, yes we do! It will arrive end of this month and we will be launching it 1st week of July. Yay! It takes a little longer for this piece because of its intricate beading details. It's really pretty (if we do say so ourselves..haha) and our supplier even asked to keep one for herself when the stocks arrive :) So do stay tuned! You really wouldn't wanna miss this one! :D

Because I had a great day out with Dad.

Hi all! :)
So excited for this post cos' I really wanna recommend you guys a good place to dine at!
Be warned: A salivating post!
** Disclaimer: Not for the hungry people **

An awesome lunch with the Dad and Family at Mad for Garlic and the food was so yummy! :)

We ordered all of Starters! (There were only 3 though. :p)
Dracula Killer!!
Not much of a killer, BUT, the garlic cloves were quite a die for.. Quite very unexpected. :)

Anchovy Garlic Cream Fondue!!
Dad loved this. Hehe. Dip it in the Anchovy cream and it's a perfect match. Just look at the glazed and nicely cut clove!

And this was how they served it.
They literally squeezed the garlic from the clove and I gotta say, it really was quite amusing to watch! :D

Garlic Bread Tower
Mum is so cute. She insisted on this because she refused to leave without a proper garlic bread.
I mean, Mad for Garlic, and no garlic bread?! How can right?!
And so we ordered this, and...
It was quite a disappointment! Haha. I would say this is the only dish I don't think it's wroth it. Only if you dip it in the Anchovy cream. Otherwise, it's rather tasteless! :X

So the mains were served and we had Garlicholic Rice. Didn't take a picture of it cos it looked just like fried rice! :p
BUT!! It was yummy! Non-grainy, smooth and fragrant rice. And we cleaned the whole plate up! Appetizing.

Garlic Snowing Pizza!!
Sure looks like 'snowing' to me. I call it, the tmd-die-for pizza. It was omgawd, so delicious! Everybody loved it. This pizza is really good! You guys should really try it! Even the crusts taste different.

Lobster Pasta!!
Sis likes this. With a pinch of salt, it turned out even better. :)

My super mega Garlic Steak
Omgawd, the portion is so hugeee! Slices of fresh onions and heaps of fried garlic on top of chopped garlic to bring out sweetness in the ribeye.
Kinda odd. :/
I expected my steak to be salty actually, and not sweet. Like really salty. Hahaha! I think I'll stick to traditional steak from now on. :D
But yeah, it is quite special. Sweet steak? Never tried before. This is the first!

Pizzas are a must-order! Anchovy Garlic Cream Fondue, (Y). Texture of pasta is worth applauding. So many good food to choose from!! We over ordered a lil'. :D And you know what's the best thing? It's so worth for value. Like, really. Big generous portions at a reasonable price. Not to mention, good ambiance. You guys have got to check this place out! I'm serious!

After lunch, we had desserts at Häagen-Daz.
And we ordered the Häagen-Daz fondue cos' Dad always wanted to try it. Haha.
Just like a kid. <3

Just look at the glaze on the ice cream and omgawd, the drip of rich chocolate!
Yummmmmsss right?! <3

Had such a great time today and all of us enjoyed ourselves. I mean, that's all that matters right? :) It's been quite some time since the whole Family went out for lunch together on Sunday afternoons, and today, was just perfect. :)

The Case of the Stolen Design

Let’s do some imagination today..Imagine this :

You were abruptly woken up from your sleep one morning, still in a daze; a laptop was shoved in your face.
What greeted you on the screen was an outfit design you had painstakingly put together by parcel and piecemeal, waiting and following up for a ludicrously long 7 months for its arrival (because the factory is just so incompetent) and was very much excited to release this design to your beloved customers knowing that they will love this piece as much as you do.
What was not falling into place was that the design was worn by someone else, or rather sold by someone else, unbeknown to you, even BEFORE you could release your own design you had took pride in creating.
Sounds like a nightmare for a new online shop for us no?
And yes, this HAPPENED to us.
And if you are thinking : what is so uncommon about this? Everyone can lift designs off the web and there bound to be clashes.  The thing is, this design was not lifted wholesale from any websites.  It was bits and pieces from everywhere and we put it all together.
And, we have pictures as proofs to back us up on the process of deriving this top.
If you are interested, read on about the “story” of, let’s just name it so aptly,” The ill-Fated Top”

We were watching SATC and we saw this top worn by Sarah Jessica Parker that we really like

Yes, it’s really small and you can hardly see much but many times ideas are sparked off by just a diminutive trigger.

So anyhow, we started sketching our design :

And we sourced/shortlisted for the embroidery design we wanted, from ten thousands and thousands of other designs :

After an extensive good 5 months, our long awaited sample is FINALLY here. And this is one of us wearing the very 1st original sample piece of this top design :

The embroidery was in black and we didn’t fancy the stark contrast so we amended it to ivory since the colours of our tops will be in pastel colours.
The sample didn’t come with the tapered hem we originally planned to but we thought we will keep the straight hem to not complicate the top.
We decided to change the ribbon to be smaller and longer because it was a little bulky.
Excess fabric was asked to be snipped off and we wanted to add a non-slip lining inside the top for our customers.
…………
So, after another 1 month, the 2nd sample came.  We were given 2 embroidery colours to choose from. We didn’t like the dark ivory so we opted for the pure white embroidery (on the right)

So finally, another month passed and “The ill-Fated Top” is finally ready to be shipped out to us.
And, back to the start of this entry, this was what we saw in the laptop:

Familiar???

You bet. Because this is OUR DESIGN! What on earth is it doing in somebody’s else’s blogshop and it was launched even BEFORE us??!!
Everything was PLAGIARIZED. Down to the details of the embroidery, the colour of the embroidery, the thickness of the band, the design of the mid-waist rubberized bands, the length of the top, the 2 flaps of cloth that was by the way, meant to be TIED AT THE FRONT BASED ON OUR ORIGINAL DESIGN AND NOT AT THE BACK WHICH LOOKS REDUNDANT since there is already an elastic band at the back.

And, and! To add to the "drama", 1 week later, we found yet ANOTHER blogshop selling the same thing except this time they converted it into a dress and eliminate the 2 flaps (note the same white top/dress with the same embroidery colour as our very 1st original sample)

**Picture credit to respective blogshop which we are not at liberty to divulge

We will not divulge the blogshops who are selling these neither do we have anything against them because they were an innocent party as well and just merely took the stocks from the supplier.

Our supplier crosses their hearts that they did not commit such unethical act by releasing our design especially when they are working with many other established blogshops and the code of ethics is of paramount importance to them.  We kinda believe them but we cannot extend the same belief to the factory they are working with. With such incriminating evidence, we really don’t see how the factory can shirk off any responsibility. What a low-down and unscrupulous thing to do! For goodness sake, if you want to copy designs as a whole from online go ahead, if you want to create your designs, by all means, but don’t STEAL people’s designs and pass it off as your own!  And the worse thing is this top was sold out on that particular’s blog and there was even a restock for it *anguish look*

So, there is no happily ever after ending for this “story”.. we had to discard this whole design altogether after a freaking 7 months of waiting, uncompensated.
